Warshitna First Bazaar
Sunday, March 23, 2014

Warshitna project is organizing “Warshitna First Bazaar” on Sunday March 23, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. at AlRasheed hall of the Professional Associations Complex.

Warshitna initiative was launched in July 2013 as a pilot project for the vocational schools in Jordan. Sponsored by Al Hussein Fund for Excellence in collaboration with Al Jude Organization, and in coordination with the – Vocational Training Department at the Ministry of Education, the  project aims at promoting entrepreneurship in vocational schools by motivating students to create their own small workshops (mini-companies) under the supervision of their trainers and teachers.

The products of such workshops “mini- companies” are sold to the local communities of the schools and the profit is primarily given to the students. A wide variety of products are produced in such workshops such as; carpentry work (Tables, beds and Closets), animal and agricultural products (eggs, poultry and dairy products), agricultural plant products (seedlings, ornamental plants, vegetables and mushrooms). The quality and usability of those products competes with that sold in local markets.

The Bazaar is organized to assist students marketing and selling their products of this pioneering project.
