In its meeting held in January 2015 and headed by Dr. Z. Fariz, the Chairman of the Board, Governor of the Central Bank, the Board of Directors of Al Hussein Fund has approved a group of cultural and developmental projects for the year 2015.

One of the main topics discussed by the Board in its meeting was the contribution of the Fund to the Financial Education project launched by the Central Bank of Jordan and supported by the banking and financial institutions operating in Jordan. The Fund has contributed to the launching of the project since its conception and continues to be a main player in the organization and implementing of the project.

The Board also approved the recommendations of the juries committees for the HFE Awards for 2014. After discussing the justifications and reasons for the final recommendations of the committees, the Board approved:

- Recommendations of the jury's decision to withhold the award in the fields of Renewable Energy and Environment for the year 2014, and to provide support in these areas for some school projects that aim to increase students' awareness of renewable energy fields and environmental aspects.

- Recommendations of the jury’s decision to award the prize in the field of Child Culture to the teacher Ms. Shorouq Al Dameesi for her project to compose the poems of the Arabic language curriculum for grades 5 and 6.

In the field of renewable energy and environment, the Board approved supporting a project submitted by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN)  to build a solar energy station in Al Raddas Inspection station in Al Moujib  Biosphere Reserve.

In the realm of promoting excellence and innovation in school education, the Board agreed to provide a financial support towards the participation of Jordanian students in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel-ISEF) Competition this year, which will be held in May 2015 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States.

On the cultural level, the Board approved a financial contribution to the “Family Library Project” launched by Ministry of Culture.  The project aims at promoting the culture of reading among individuals through re-printing some significant and famous books and offers them to the public at nominal prices. The Board approved adopting four titles in the field of children's education and culture.
