Graduation of participants in the Professional Diploma in Data Analysis in the Banking and Financial Sector

Amman – The Jordanian FinTech Academy – the Institute for Banking Studies and the Hussein Fund for Creativity and Excellence – celebrated the graduation of participants in the professional diploma program specializing in data analysis in the banking and financial sector, which was implemented by the Academy with funding from the Hussein Fund and with the participation of a group of top students in the academic ranking in economics, finance, and information technology.

The Director General of the Institute, Dr. Riad Al-Hindawi, and the Director General of the Al Hussein Fund for Innovation and Excellence, Dr. Ali Yagi, presented certificates to the 23 graduates from eight official universities in various governorates of the Kingdom.

Dr. Yagi praised the participants' commitment to attending and interacting with the trainers and the training program, which focused on bridging the gap between the academic and practical aspects, opening up wide opportunities for participants to find employment in the local banking and financial sector.

Dr. Yaghi emphasized that the commitment of the participants in the first diploma program gave the Institute and the Fund a positive impression that “will motivate us to offer more training programs for outstanding students and provide them with various skills that enable them to enter the job market.”

The program organizers pointed out that this project served as a real bridge to bridge the gap between disciplines, as it allowed IT graduates to learn about the financial and banking sector, which they had not previously studied as part of their academic plans, while economics and finance students were introduced to the IT tools and technologies used in this sector.

They emphasized that this integration of knowledge and application contributes to the development of students' abilities and gives them a high level of specialization that goes beyond their theoretical scientific knowledge, thereby enhancing their readiness to enter the job market.

It is worth mentioning that the Jordanian FinTech Academy will organize a career day aimed at introducing employers and financial and banking institutions to the academy's graduates in various specializations, as part of its efforts to provide job opportunities for graduates in the local market.

Participants in the professional diploma specializing in data analysis in the banking and financial sector expressed their gratitude for the design and implementation of this program, which provided them with the practical skills and knowledge needed in the job market.

They called for the expansion of such professional training programs, with a greater focus on the practical aspects that are lacking in academic programs at Jordanian universities.
